When I hit burnout in my corporate days, I felt completely disconnected from my body.
My nervous system was frazzled, my energy scattered, and my intuition quiet.
Yoga, meditation & breathwork have been powerful tools for my healing and regulating my nervous system.
It wasn’t until I started working with the root chakra — through grounding, breath, and embodiment — that I began to feel safe enough to slow down. To rest.
To listen.
My nervous system softened.
My digestion improved.
My anxiety reduced.
My intuition sharpened.
And, slowly, my energy returned.
Nervous system regulation really helped me to ground. To be more present.
To build safety in my nervous system to be with some intense emotions and memories I had suppressed and disassociated from feeling.
When we are more regulated and present and grounded, we are able to hold bigger emotions and energies.
