Hello, I’m Chrissie – a senior yoga teacher, energy healer, and nature lover with a deep passion for helping others to reset their nervous system and reconnect to their innate vitality and joy.
I teach uplifting, nourishing yoga classes in the beautiful outdoor settings of Coogee and Bondi, taking students on a journey through the chakras to go beyond the physical, whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean, the sun rising off the ocean and looking out for dolphins frolicking in the waves. Bliss!
I also host successful soulful yoga retreats – a space to pause, reflect, connect and journey inward. These retreats are designed to help you deepen your relationship with yourself and others, and to come away feeling recharged - more balanced, inspired, and alive.
Alongside yoga, I work as a BodyTalk and Reiki energy healer, and I facilitate Rebirthing Breathwork in both 1:1 sessions and group settings. As a qualified Naturopath, I bring a strong grounding in natural medicine, herbal support, and lifestyle tools to help bring the body back into harmony.
My passion lies in supporting others to feel vibrant, balanced and at ease – to rediscover their spark. Integrating my tools & wisdom to help regulate your nervous system, manage stress, and address gut, hormonal or adrenal imbalances from a deeply holistic perspective.
Everything I offer is rooted in a love of nature and connection – to ourselves, to each other, and to the earth.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me immersed in the sea, dancing under the stars, camping, cooking up something delicious with beautiful friends. I cherish the simple joys – sunshine, music, ocean swims, and good company.
If you’re seeking to reconnect with your body, your breath, and your sense of inner peace – I’d love to support you on that journey.
My yoga journey began in London around 2000. I remember initially I didn't get the concept of yoga, feeling it was too slow for me and I was always looking to be active and channel my energy into running or cycling or netball.
I started more as a stretch after running, but then I started to notice how it helped my mood, anxiety, stress levels and made me feel more present and grounded.
I continued when I moved to Australia in 2006 at Dharmashala in Bondi, where I felt a sense of belonging and later taught yoga there and found my love for kirtan.
I was working in Advertising – caught up in deadlines and long hours, told I wasn't hard enough for the industry. I was so stressed, disconnected from my body, pushing my adrenals to the limits - working, exercising, partying hard.
I’d sit at my desk dreaming of being barefoot by the ocean, outside in the sunshine, doing something more creative, heart-led and meaningful.
I was always drawn to health and healing, fascinated reading about yoga, nutrition and natural remedies instead of celeb mags. Keeping active helped me feel clear and connected.
In 2009, I hit rock bottom. I lost my job, my visa, my relationship ended and my twin sister moved back to the UK and I had to move out of my home! I was broken, but I now see that experience cracked me open in the most beautiful way.
I was keeping busy to avoid truly feeling the loss of my mum at 16. Not realising the depth of that grief or how it shaped me – often anxious, reactive, looking for love in all the wrong places.
It was through yoga, meditation and breathwork that I slowly began to heal. I found refuge on my yoga mat, feeling it all, allowing myself to be vulnerable and real.
I started to feel more grounded, less anxious, and connected to something greater. My nervous system was more regulated, I felt safer in my body – learning how to soften, to feel, to be present and to trust.
I remember being gifted a chakra meditation that I listened to daily and I started to feel lighter and friends even noticed a shift. It was so powerful.
I signed up for my first Yoga teacher training with Byron Yoga Centre in 2009 and never looked back! I taught straight away, it was like coming home, like I was always meant to teach.
I was also studying Naturopathy, something I'd always dreamed of, working full time for a visa and weekends at a health shop.. crazy hours, but finally it was towards something I was passionate about.
My work is inspired by everything I’ve been through – the grief, adrenal fatigue, the healing and coming home to myself. And it’s my passion to help others find that too – to feel more at ease in themselves, their nervous systems, more resilient, more joyful, healthy and deeply connected.
I am truly grateful for my teachers and what yoga & healing has brought me over the last 25 years.
I met beautiful Cosmic Clive Sheridan in 2009 doing my Byron Yoga training and my pranayama journey was magical! Deep dive 3 week retreats in the jungle, sleeping outside and deep silence, breath, yoga & meditation!
I feel so blessed to still practice with Eileen Hall in Bondi and Seane Corne was a beautiful lover of the chakras. So grateful for Katie Rose, Idit Hefer & the Jivamukti method, which I loved for the deeper, spiritual teachings, Sanskrit and chanting.
Lara Baumann from Quantum Yoga & Ayurveda and Mark Breadner from YogaCoach influenced my teachings too.
Jacqui Bushell was an amazing botanist, naturopath and I later did her Reiki Master training in the desert! Wow!
My beautiful Shaman Barbie Jemmita who has taught me so much about rituals, holding space, altars, cacao ceremonies and the unseen! Excited to get to Peru one day! More recently I have been going to India to receive blessings & puja from Sri Sakti Amma.
I am very excited for my Bali Retreat coming up in September.
Take time out for yourself to recharge and recalibrate your nervous system in paradise, listening to the lapping sounds of the ocean.
Deepen your practice, being held in a safe container, journeying together through the chakras with yoga, meditation, breathwork, kirtan, sound healing & cacao ceremonies.
Guided meditations and processes will help you dive deeper still and there will be options to try Freediving, plus cultural side trips for waterfall cleanses, Balinese Holy water temple ceremonies and pampering... .
